Winner’s High Impact Leadership Programme was launched on Tuesday 7 March at
Charles Telfair Institute. 20 candidates have embarked on a one year
programme comprising of a mix of hard and soft skills.
Addressing the candidates, Mr Jeremy Charoux, Executive Director of CTI,
said “the building blocks of leadership include relationships & shared
vision. Only once these are place, can action Plans can be developed and
the desired Results attained”.
Mr Hubert Gaspard, Group Chief Human Capital Officer launched the program on
behalf of GML. He said, “The merger of GML and IBL has brought a lot of
internal changes and we now talk of Human Capital. We work a lot on how we
can identify the potential in each and every staff member” . Additional key
speakers included Mr Jean Michel Rouillard, COO of Winner’s Chain of
Supermarkets and Mrs Linda Tack Shin, Training and Development Manager, both
agreed on the fact that candidates need the managerial and leadership skills
to be able to lead, inspire and motivate their teams. Mr Jean Phillipe
Venpin, General Manager at Winner’s Chain of Supermarkets, on his side,
added that “98 candidates have up to now followed this programme and some of
them have been promoted to key managerial positions after some time. This is
therefore a very positive investment in our Human Capital, whose main
challenge for the coming years is to adapt to change”.
