The Student Counselling and Career Development Centre is run by a group of qualified psychologists and career counsellors under the leadership of the Director of Academic Affairs. In addition to general pastoral counselling, the following services are offered:

IT Support Officers

Full-time IT Officers are available throughout the day to provide one on one support to help student with IT literacy, printing or internet problems. They also run customized competency-based IT exams for those who require certification of IT skills.
Academic Writing Support Officers
Full-time Academic Writing and English Communication one on one support is provided on demand to first year students who have completed their schooling through a different language medium.
Career Development Programmes
Stepping into University - Career Choices & Study Plans

A bi-annual, information event offered to all potential CTI students and their parents followed by a 2-day career exploration workshop for interested students.
Start of Semester Pre-registration Counselling Sessions
At the end of each semester students meet the career and course counselors to reassess their study program before selecting their study units for the next semester. This provides an opportunity for re-orientation if necessary.
Graduate Plus' and 'CTI Plus' for ACCA students
These programs, which culminate with the compilation of a career portfolio, help students develop and showcase their employability skills

Tertiary to Work' Careers Workshop and Job-Fair organized exclusively for Charles Telfair Institute's New Graduates

Once a year, we run a job fair for our new or about to graduate students. This fair includes workshops on skills required for successful job application as well as presentations and on-site interviews with potential private sector employers.
