Mr. Vikash Rowtho


Mr. Vikash Rowtho, Head of Faculty of Applied Sciences & TechnologyVikash ROWTHO [BSc, MSc Computer Science, Software Engineer] is the Head of the Humanities Faculty at the Charles Telfair Institute.

After completing his secondary education at the College du Saint Esprit, Mr Rowtho enrolled in the Riga Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers, Latvia, in 1988 where he completed his bachelor's, master's and engineering degrees in computer science.

In 1995, Mr Rowtho came back to Mauritius and joined a private secondary school where he taught Mathematics and Computing. From 1997 to 1998, he has taught at the Mauritius Institute of Education and Informatics Computer Institute in the IT and Mathematics fields as visiting lecturer.

Mr Rowtho joined DCDM Business School (now, CTI) in 1999 as Lecturer in IT and was promoted to Senior Lecturer and Head of Faculty in 2000.

Mr Rowtho is registered with the Mauritius Qualifications Authority as Trainer and Programme Officer in the field of IT since 1997. He is also a member of the Industry Training Advisory Committee in IT set up by the Mauritius Qualifications Authority since 2003.

Mr Rowtho is a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator and Systems Engineer since 2006 and has completed the Microsoft Certified Trainer requirements in 2007.
