Mrs. Odylle Charoux
Odylle Charoux [BSc, BEd, MSc (Technology & Science Ed)] is the Director of Academic Affairs of the Charles Telfair Institute, Moka, Mauritius.
Born in Mauritius, Odylle Charoux moved to South Africa to undertake her tertiary education and training. After completing her BSc in Biological Sciences and Psychology, as well as her Bachelor of Education and her Masters in Science and Technology Education, Mrs Charoux spent the next twenty years in the private and government education sector, operating as a Teacher, Head of Faculty and ultimately, Educational Adviser and Teacher Trainer.
During this period, she sat on various committees and served on various education-related boards. She has assisted the South African Government with the introduction of Outcome-based curriculum; co-ordinated a series of educational projects on such themes as Young Scientists Development, Environmental Monitoring, etc. She played a significant role in the introduction of Technology as a learning tool in secondary schools and supervised the development and implementation of a series of science and technology outcome-based projects.
At the time of her leaving South Africa to return to Mauritius, Mrs Charoux was a co-ordinator and examiner for the Independent Examinations Board of South Africa and an educational adviser in charge of teacher training at private secondary schools.
