On 21 May 2009, the new Executive Committee of CTI Student Union was elected amidst much fanfare. Charged with promoting and providing for the welfare and the social, cultural, sporting and educational activities of our 1400 students, the Executive Committee of the Student Union will be also called upon to represent the students' interests on the various academic decision-making organs of the Institute.

Commenting on the recent election, CTI's Director of Academic Affairs, Odylle Charoux, mentioned: "We welcome CTI's new Student Union and are ready to give it our full support. Students play a crucial role in the running of our Institute and we hope that this mandate will be as enriching as that of its predecessors."

Chronicles understands that once the July holidays are over, elected members will begin their mandate by attending a two-day Leadership Development and Team Building programme designed to assist them with their new duties and responsibilities.
