Parents' information session 12 February 2008
A parents' information session was organized at Charles Telfair Institute on Tuesday 12, February. The aim of this exercise was to inform the parents of the different courses run by CTI in collaboration with our academic partners Curtin University of Technology and TAFE (Technical and Further Education).

The Heads of Faculties presented the various courses offered by each faculty and the entry requirements for each. Specialist lecturers gave advice on the technical aspects of courses.

Over 300 parents and students attended the information session. They expressed their appreciation of the professionalism with which the exercise was conducted, namely that the focus was on giving information.

About 100 students registered for the career counseling session organized on Friday 15th February. This exercise included a Self-Directed Search Questionnaire aimed at helping the students, through a series of psychological questions, to find out their abilities, competencies, interests as well as their attitudes towards different jobs and occupations.
This test was followed by a one-on-one counseling session to help the students explore the career possibilities and narrow down the choices.
