At 18 00 hrs on Wednesday 20 May 2009, His Excellency the Honorable President of the Republic of Mauritius, Sir Aneerood Jugnauth and Lady Jugnauth graced the Opening Ceremony of the 17th Edition of the Annual Career's Guidance Fair. They then proceeded to visit the different booths of the Exhibitors.

On Thursday and Friday, despite a rainy weather, thousands of Upper Six students, from every corner of the island, visited the Fair. The Charles Telfair booth was visited by over 7,000 thousand students on Thursday and Friday who sought various kind of information on the different courses and facilities offered. Most were greatly impressed by the fact that

  • Through our Australian academic partners, we offer internationally recognized qualifications. The possibilities of degree transfer to Curtin, Australia, even for one semester, drew high interest from students and parents alike
  • We have 15 shareholders, representing Mauritius' largest firms. Many of our visitors wanted to know if these firms would be ready to consider their application for employment once they complete their course of study
  • The construction of our multimillion Rupee campus in Telfair, Moka, is now imminent
  • We now can award our own Certificates and Diplomas following the Awarding powers granted to CTI by the Tertiary Education Commission

A total of 1 754 students registered themselves for more information and one-on-one counseling sessions with our various counselors.
